Heather Mills is urging people to drink rat's milk in order to help save the planet...what do you think?

I think she is crazy. This kind of eco-jingoism is counter productive, it is obvious that something needs to be done due to an ever increasing global population and need for food however "lets drink rats milk" is not a solution when we still have stars like this leading the way in driving wasteful SUV vehicles , hopping countries as often as they change underpants and doing nothing useful.

Saving the planet needs decades of change, it needs people to sit and think is it necessary to raise animals on grain to kill and eat them when you can just eat the grain , do we really need to drive to work when governments could help employers find ways to get employee's to work from home. There needs to be massive investment in rail systems to get trucks off the road and people need to start eating in season food not getting vegetables flown all round the world so they can have salad in november.

Everyone seems to sadly miss the point, for instance a celebrity was named head of some new bio-fuel project for oil rich berries that could be grown in the third world and used for fuel - wonderful we can all drive around in eco friendly cars but when we are growing fuel on crop land what is everyone going to eat? If the third world suddenly becomes a garden for fuel are we going to still help them find drought resistent crops to grow? and where? what takes precidence? we fight wars for oil now, will tomorrows wars be fought so we can grow fuel on peoples cropland?

The cycle needs to be broken and maniacs like Heather Mills need to realise they are part of the problem not part of the solution.
